Ek Balam

The city of Ek Balam was founded by a figure of the same name. Its main ruler was Ukit Kan Lek Tok, who gave it its splendor by commissioning buildings with murals and facades with impressive details that survive to this day, such as those on his tomb in the main building. Enjoy the magnificent view from the top of the main building and experience a unique experience.

After touring the archaeological site, we make a cultural stop where you will appreciate handicrafts in the stone workshop, where you will watch the artisan create them. You will try corn tortillas handmade by Mayan women, taste Xtabentun, a typical regional drink, and receive a blessing from a Mayan shaman. Here, you will enjoy a delicious menu of varied regional Mexican dishes, Yucatan style.

To conclude this incredible adventure, you will enjoy a refreshing swim in an ancient cenote.
